Nice upgrade for my one man tent.

Loved this little tent. My other one man has internal poles so I really saving weight is nice. Packs down really small. Laying in tent on air mattress and in sleeping bag I find the material is a little close to my face. A Y shaped stick propped under guide line fixed it for me.

Perfect for my needs

Have both the Lanshan Pro 1 and 2, both handle my needs. Im always carrying trekking poles when I am backpacking. The Pro 1 has plenty of room when Im hiking alone to get all my gear inside, have plenty of headroom when I want to sit up. Ive now used it to sleep 2, but only recommend if youre extremely close to that person. Setup is easy. Set it up in the dark on my campout last weekend. The inner condensation was falling off during a heavy rain, but a quick wipe of the inner wall with my microfiber towel resolved that. Two people and a dog in the vestibule created more moisture inside the tent than had it been me mind you.The Pro 2 works great when Im planning to have other people in the tent. Took my youngest backpacking in Glacier National Park over the summer. Tent was blown over by 40 to 60 mph gusts. After fully sinking the tent stakes and securing with a rock the problem went away, except we couldnt really sleep from the howling wind, not the tents fault. Tent kept us dry with no condensation issues. Glacier had almost no humidity verse Missouri where I kept this past weekend with the Pro 1.Overall Id recommend either tent based on your needs. There is a quick learning curve to pitch them and there are YouTube videos that show the process well. Feel these are of good value compared to lighter but more expensive options.

1P kept me dry on 35 day PCT Sierra section hike

Was tentative about purchasing this tent but decided to go for it to shave some weight from my pack before 350 miles on PCT in July/August in the high Sierra. I am 5'2" and plenty of room inside for me and my backpack. Took a little practice to get taut setup but could set up in less than 5 minutes after first few days, including in situations where no stakes could be used - only granite rocks holding down the tent lines. Stayed totally dry in 2 days of 4 hour moderate rainstorms followed by 2.5 inches of rain in a 24 hour period nonstop storm. Did not experience high winds during my trip so don't have a feel for how it would hold up.Loved cooking under the fly during storms. Glad I didn't pay $500 - 700 for a tent like some of the hikers I met on the trail.

One man tent

This little tent is fabulous! I put it up for several days in horrible rain and wind and the only place it had issues was the little pull outs on the fly as others have stated! I had one little drop of water at each end. I can seal that no problem! It took the wind like a champ! No issues there at all. I needed a light backpacking tent for climbing up these mountains. I'm getting on in years and have to keep my pack as light as possible. The true weight on my digital scale is 2.2oz! I am thrilled. I can sit up and I don't feel confined like I do in a bivy bag! Slept in it the other night and left the fly door open on one side. Shear bliss! The price just nails this purchase!!!!

Great budget-friendly backpacking tent

I wasn't quite sure what to expect based on the numerous reviews of this tent from the variety of resellers from whom it can be purchased. I am pleasantly surprised by the product I've received.First, the seams all came taped. I only applied a small amount of sealant to several small stitching areas which appear to have been stitched AFTER the location had been sealed (??). I tested it in a heavy rain storm, and only a very little bit of water accumulated at each of the head and foot ends of the tent. I actually attribute this to a less than ideal pitch (because of the rockiness of the location that night) and condensation. I don't believe the tent was leaking at all.Second, wind was a concern, as it would be for any trekking-pole or other tension-based tent. I set this up in windy conditions on both nights, by myself without much difficulty. I will say that site selection is especially critical with this tent to get the best performance, but once it was up, it did not budge during several hours of high winds (30-50mph)Despite temps in the teens, I experienced ZERO water inside the tent due to condensation, which I was fully expecting. Granted, my pitch that night was MUCH better than the first (see photo).I think this tent would be tight for two people (I'm 5'8", 190lbs), but it is quite roomy for one, especially with the generous vestibules.I've also replaced the plastic "rams head" hooks connecting the vestibule doors to the front/back guy lines with metal equivalents since they are known to be a weakness of these tents. This tent is a very good value for such a lightweight shelter.
